Carnival or Apokries is a feast and it is celebrated in Greece with parades and parties. The word Apokries literally means 'no more meat' and it is the term that used to describe carnival in Greece.

• Tsiknopempti or ‘Burnt Thursday’ - February 16th

• Tsiknopempti Weekend - Friday, February 17th through Sunday, February 26th

• Cheesefare Thursday - February 23rd

• Main Carnival Weekend - Friday, February 24th through Sunday, February 26th

• Clean Monday - February 27th
