RALLEIA EXPERIMENTAL PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Our school is disseminating the project inside and outside of the school. More specifically dissemination activities had taken place during the implementation of the project for teachers, parents and the local community. 

NEWSPAPERS

Below you will find five articles that had been published to the local newspapers, piraeusview.gr and zostonpirea.gr. The first article was about the E-M@TI-ON Erasmus+ project, the objectives, the schools that participate and the first transnational meeting. The second article was about the second transnational meeting in Germany and the third one about the transnational meeting at Fole Skola in Sweden.

On 14 March 2019 another article was published in the local paper peiraiasnews. This article was about ERASMUS+ E-M@TI-ON project and the 6th transnational meeting that was held at Ralleia Experimental Primary Schools and our visit to the Town Hall. 

On 17 May 2019 another article was published in the local paper peiraiasview. This article was about the program of the 6th transnational meeting at Ralleia Experimental Primary Schools.

TEACHERS

From the beginning of the school year 2016-17 all the teachers were informed about the project, the different activities and about the deadlines of each activity. Informative meetings were held and presentations were done for teachers after each transnational meeting. In addition, teachers received by email presentations or videos about the project. Also, at the beginning of the school year,  training sessions were held for teachers about Scratch programming environment.

PARENTS

Several events have been carried out during the first year of the project. The purpuse if these events was to give detailed information to parents about the project, the selection criteria for the students who were going to travel to Portugal and the transnational meetings. Below you can see some photos and  the first presentation for parents.

 

On Wednesday 14 of June, 2017 we did  a presentation to parents. We briefly presented the activities of 1rst year of the project. We also presented the transnational meetings with teachers and the learning activity with students. Teachers and students presented the most important moments of the 1st year of the project. The theatrical education teacher of our school, Ilia Lakidou, and the students of D1 and D2 classes presented two short theatrical performances about ancient Greek mathematicians. At the end of the meeting the four students who traveled to Braga and their parents talked about their experience. At the end of the event, our headmaster Vassilios Panopoulos and the subheadmaster Thodoris Korakas presented the Erasmus Emotion song and all of us sang the song with them. 

At the end of the school year 2017-18, on Thursday 14 of June, 2018 we did  a presentation to parents. We presented the activities of 1rst and 2nd year of the E-M@TI-ON project. At the end of the meeting the four students who traveled to Munich and their parents talked about their experience.

Posters have been created to quickly inform parents, students and teachers about the project. The following posters were placed at the entrance of the school

 

PANHELLENIC CONFERENCE

 

3rd Panhellenic Educational Conference in Patra - Greece, 5-7 October 2018

On Saturday, 6th of October 2018, Evangelia Petraki, Konstantina Anagnostopoulou and Theodora Tzakosta  presented our Erasmus+ project E-M@TI-ON and our methodology about using technology in teaching Maths at the 3rd Panhellenic Educational Conference in Patra.  After the presentation they did a workshop with teachers. Specifically teachers created a scratch application about math operations using one of our project's teaching guides in Scratch.

EUROPEAN ROBOTICS WEEK 2017

Event: E-M@TI-ONed Robots

 

11 and 12 years old students participating in Erasmus+ project E-M@TI-ON started working for their first robotics projects with Lego We Do 2.0 Education. Students continued working with robotics throughout the school year 2017-18.

EU CODE WEEK 2018

Event: E-M@TI-ON Code Week at Ralleia E.P.S.

 

In October 2018, students from 9-12 years old had completed many activities with Lego Wedo and Lego Mindstorms. They also created scratch projects and done unplugged activities about programming. These activities were developed for Erasmus+ project E-M@TI-ON.

Piraeus Municipal Radio Κανάλι Ένα 90.4 FM

 

Our visit to the Piraeus Town Hall was broadcasted by Piraeus Municipal Radio, Κανάλι Ένα 90.4 FM and a video was uploaded to Piraeus Municipal Radio youtube channel .

Workshop at the special Primary School for autistic children in Piraeus

On Friday 1st of February, children from B2 class from Ralleia E.P.S., their class teacher Christos Nikolopoulos and their ICT teacher Evangelia Petraki visited the Special Primary School for autistic children in Piraeus for an ICT workshop. Students from both schools created posters for Erasmus+ E-M@TI-ON project and created simple robotics projects with Lego WeDo.

Two open ERASMUS+ robotics workshops

Open robotics workshops were held at Ralleia Experimental Primary school on Tuesday 15th of January 2019 and on Wednesday 6th of February 2019. Students from 3rd to 6th grade participated and created Lego Wedo and Lego Mindstorms projects.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

HSCI2019, 2-6 September 2019

Kharkiv, Ukraine

Our methodology on teaching Mathematics was presented with a poster at the 16th international conference on Hands-on Science, HSCI2019 that was held in Kharkiv, Ukraine, 2 - 6 of September 2019. The abstract of our article was published and it is available in the Book of Abstracts of the Conference.
